Marco makes its mark on one of Britains's best-known buildings
Liverpool's waterfront is dominated by The Royal Liver Building which, apart from being famous in its own right, has been featured in the opening titles of popular TV series such as The Liver Birds and Brookside .
With Liverpool having recently been declared the City of European Culture for 2008, the building which is so often used as the city's emblem is set to become even more famous worldwide.
The two 18-ft tall copper Liver Birds that stand on top of the building's clock towers and symbolise the city represent a cross between an eagle and a cormorant. Just a little way below their roosting places, on the seventh floor, to be precise, a transformation has recently taken place.
The entire floor has been refurbished on behalf of its occupants for the past seven years, the Crown Prosecution Service, and a vital part of the face-lift was rewiring.
The trunking for the new wiring was manufactured in the UK by Marco Cable Management, based on the Isle of Anglesey, in North Wales.
