Steel Wire Cable Tray

Marco, the UK’s largest manufacturer of Steel Wire Cable Tray, and uPVC Cable Management has delivered a large scale order of Steel Wire Cable Tray to electrical contractors at work on the UK’s most environmentally friendly council building development.
Supplying directly to Emcor Engineering Services, who are working as part of the Thomas Vale Construction site team, the building is set to incorporate a number of advanced environmental features and is designed to be achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’.
Set next to Birmingham Science Park Aston, construction works began in August 2009 and staff are expected to start moving into the building from Autumn 2011 onwards. Including a series of innovative sustainability features ranging from Combined Heating and Power (CHP) through to rainwater harvesting, the Woodcock Street development will be topped off with a brown roof which will provide a habitat for local wildlife including the rare Black Redstart bird.
The development will accommodate approximately 2,200 fixed desks, and areas for non-fixed desks (or ‘touchdown’ areas) which will enable up to another 500 staff to use the building.
